SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it Service Precautions.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal





3. DISCONNECT PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the front passenger airbag connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD
(a) Remove the instrument panel Removal.





5. DISCONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connectors from the front passenger airbag.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY





(a) Detach the 10 claws and remove the front passenger airbag.
