HYBRID TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: HYBRID TRANSAXLE OIL SEAL: REPLACEMENT

REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
4. DRAIN TRANSAXLE OIL
(a) Drain transaxle oil Hybrid Transaxle System.
5. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the drive shaft Removal.
6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Remove the drive shaft Removal.
7. REMOVE HYBRID TRANSAXLE OIL SEAL





(a) Using SST, tap out the oil seal.
SST: 09308-00010
8. INSTALL HYBRID TRANSAXLE OIL SEAL





(a) Apply a small amount of No. 2 MP grease to the lip of a new oil seal.
(b) Using SST, tap in the oil seal to the standard depth.
Standard depth:
2.7 +-0.5 mm (0.106 +-0.020 in.)

9. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Install the front drive shaft Installation.
10. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the front drive shaft Installation.
11. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
12. ADD TRANSAXLE OIL
Fluid type:
Toyota genuine ATF WS
Capacity:
3.8 liters (4.0 US qts, 3.3 Imp. qts)
13. INSPECT TRANSAXLE OIL
(a) Inspect the transaxle oil level Hybrid Transaxle System.
14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
15. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
16. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the front wheel alignment Service and Repair.
17. PERFORM CALIBRATION
(a) Perform calibration Programming and Relearning.
