APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:

Some 2004-2009 model year Prius vehicles may experience a return to Neutral condition after the vehicle is first placed into Drive or Reverse. Refer to repair procedure below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Replace the Shift Lever assembly with the updated part.

Refer to ETAS/TIS library, applicable model year Prius Repair Manual.

For 2004 and 2005 Prius shift lever replacement, please refer to 2006 Prius Model Year Repair Manual.

2. Test for proper operation of new Shift Lever.
