Applicability

Introduction





Some 2009 - 2011 model year Venza vehicles may exhibit an uneven gap between the instrument panel and radio bezel to the RH side of the center speaker grill. Use the following procedure to address this condition.

Repair Procedure

1. Remove the Radio Receiver Assembly or Navigation Receiver Assembly.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

^ Radio Receiver:

2009 / 2010/ 2011 Venza:
Audio/Visual/Telematics - Audio/Video - 'Audio/Video: Radio Receiver: Removal"

^ Navigation Receiver:

2009 / 2010 / 2011 Venza:

Display: Navigation Receiver: Removal"





2. Apply 1.5 mm felt from the Interior Noise Kit to the top surface of the RH radio bezel alignment ledge.





3. Reposition the instrument panel safety pad in front of the outboard alignment stud as shown.





4. Using a round file elongate the upper portion of the two holes in the instrument panel safety pad approximately 2 mm (0.08 in.) as shown.

5. Reposition instrument panel safety pad to original position.


6. Reassemble vehicle in the reverse order of disassembly.


7. Verify condition is improved.
