Applicability

Introduction





Some 2009 model year Venza vehicles may exhibit a lifting condition of the LH or RH speaker cover as shown in the illustration. Perform the following procedure to improve this condition.

Production Change Information





This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.





Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.





Required Tools & Equipment

Repair Procedure

1. Verify Complaint Condition





2. Using a plastic pry tool disengage the 2 clips 6 claws and 2 guides and remove the instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

NOTE

LH shown. The RH is similar.





3. Apply 2 layers of 0.5 mm felt to the 6 claws as shown in the illustration.





4. Apply 2 - 3 mm of felt to the inboard guide as shown in the illustration.

NOTE

Initially apply 2 mm felt to guide. If additional improvement is required, add an additional 1 mm of felt.





5. Engage the 2 guides 6 claws and 2 clips to install the No.3 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

NOTE

RH shown. The LH is similar.

6. Verify the condition is improved.
