APPLICABILITY:
INTRODUCTION:
Some AWD 2009-2011 model year Venza vehicles may exhibit a ABS/VSC warning light "ON" condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) C1332 and/or C1333 (right/left rear speed sensor circuit). Refer to the following repair procedure to address this condition.
PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:
This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Using the ETAS Techstream, confirm that DTC C1332 and/or C1333 is stored in the ABS/VSC ECU.
2. Check the affected speed sensor's installation. There should be no clearance between the sensor and rear axle carrier.
3. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the affected speed sensor's harness.
4. Replace the affected speed sensor. Refer to the ETAS/TIS library, applicable vehicle and model year Repair Manual:
2009 - 2011 Venza
Brake Control/Dynamic Control Systems: "Rear Speed Sensor (for AWD): Removal"
5. Clear all DTCs and confirm the condition has been corrected.
