Water Pump: Testing and Inspection

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. SEPARATE FRONT FENDER LINER RH
4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON RH Removal
5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal
6. INSPECT WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Visually check the drain hole for coolant leakage.
If leakage is found, replace the water pump assembly.





(b) Turn the pulley and check that the water pump bearing moves smoothly without making a clicking noise.
If the bearing does not move smoothly, replace the water pump assembly.

8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON RH Installation
9. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH
10. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
11. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH
