INTRODUCTION:







Some 2009 model year Venza vehicles may exhibit a lifting condition of the LH or RH speaker cover as shown in the illustration. Perform the following procedure to improve this condition.






APPLICABILITY:

PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:







This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.






WARRANTY INFORMATION:






REQUIRED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

NOTE:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Verify Complaint Condition.







2. Using a plastic pry tool, disengage the 2 clips, 6 claws and 2 guides, and remove the instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

NOTE:
LH shown. The RH is similar.







3. Apply 2 layers of 0.5 mm felt to the 6 claws as shown in the illustration.







4. Apply 2 - 3 mm of felt to the inboard guide as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:
Initially apply 2 mm felt to guide. If additional improvement is required, add an additional 1 mm of felt.







5. Engage the 2 guides, 6 claws and 2 clips to install the No. 3 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

NOTE:
RH shown. The LH is similar.

6. Verify the condition is improved.
