2GR-FE COOLING: COOLING FAN SYSTEM: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT COOLING FAN SYSTEM
(a) Warm up the engine.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(e) Turn the Techstream on.
(f) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test/Control the Electric Cooling Fan.
(g) Check operation of the cooling fan while operating it using the Techstream.
If the cooling fan motor does not operate, check the cooling fan circuit Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
