Applicability

Introduction

Some 2009 model year Venza vehicles may exhibit a condition where the right hand HVAC vent has an uneven fit appearance where it meets the instrument panel. An improved passenger side register assembly is available to improve this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.





Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.

Required Tools & Equipment

Repair Procedure





1. Disengage the 3 clips 7 claws and guide and remove the front door scuff plate RH.





2. Remove the right hand cowl side trim sub-assembly.

A. Remove the clip.

B. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly RH.





3. Remove the No.2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

4. Remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.





A. Remove the bolt and 4 screws.





B. Disengage the claw 3 clips and 5 guides.

C. Disconnect the connectors and remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.





5. Disengage the 4 claws 2 clips and guide and remove the No. 4 instrument panel register assembly.

6. Install the new No.4 instrument panel register assembly.


7. Reassemble in reverse order of disassembly.


8. Verify condition is improved.
