INTRODUCTION:
Some 2009 Venza vehicles may exhibit a condition where the Roof Drip Moldings become loose. An improved part has been developed to correct this condition

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Standard Roof Disassembly
1. Remove the roof drip center side finish moulding (without sliding roof).
A. Put protective tape around the roof drip center side finish moulding.
B. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the roof drip center side finish moulding.
NOTE:
- Do NOT remove the clips.
- If the clips are damaged or separated, replace them with new clips.
2. Remove any dirt, debris, etc. from the channel (all surfaces) and wipe with rubbing alcohol, taking care to prevent any contamination after wiping.
Reassembly
1. Remove the release liner from the front piece of tape.
2. Set the moulding into the front clip.
3. Install the front half of the moulding in the channel by setting the outboard edge and lip first, then rotating the inboard edge and lip down into the channel, working from the front toward the rear. Stop just above the middle of the rear door opening.
4. Remove the release liner from the two rear pieces of tape.
5. Install the rear half of the moulding in the channel by setting the outboard edge and lip first, then rotating the inboard edge and lip down into the channel, working from the front toward the rear.
6. Set the moulding into the rear clip.
7. Press down on the tape with 13kg force (29 lbs.). This can be done by hand or by rubber roller. Maintain pressure for at least five seconds.
NOTICE:
Be careful NOT to damage the top surface of the moulding.
Panoramic Roof Disassembly
1. Remove the roof drip center side finish moulding (with Sliding Roof).
A. Put protective tape around the roof drip center side finish moulding.
B. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and remove the roof drip center side finish moulding.
NOTE:
- Do NOT remove the clips.
- If the clips are damaged or separated, replace them with new clips.
2. Remove any dirt, debris, etc. from the channel (all surfaces) and wipe with rubbing alcohol, taking care to prevent any contamination after wiping.
Reassembly

2. Set the moulding into the front Clip.
3. Install the moulding in the channel by setting the outboard edge and lip first, then rotating the inboard edge and lip down into the channel, working from the front to the rear.
4. Set the moulding into the rear Clip.
