INTRODUCTION:
Some 2009 Yaris Hatchback vehicles may exhibit a condition where water condensation drips from the gap between the headliner and dome lamp assembly.
Use the following repair procedure to correct this condition.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove headliner.
Refer to the Repair Manual within E-TAS / TIS library:

2. Wipe down the roof panel with a dry towel. Be sure to remove all moisture before sticking the felt and the roof silencer padding to the roof panel.







3. Add Felt to roof panel area above the map lamp bracket:







A. Add 3 NEW pieces of felt (63351-12070) on the roof panel behind the map light bracket as shown in Figure 2.












B. Add 5 pieces of Roof Silencer Padding (63357-52030, 63358-52020, 63359-52020) onto the Roof Panel as shown in Figure 3.

HINT:
Set the triangle of the roof silencer padding at the center line of the roof panel.


















4. For P/N 63346-52020 cut into the following pieces as shown in attached figures.







5. Add felt to the headliner around the pillar areas.







A. Stick Felt (P/N 63346-52020) on the back side of the roof headliner near the A-pillar garnish area as shown in Figure 9. Felt should be added on both driver & passenger side of the vehicle.







B. Stick Felt (P/N 63346-52020) on the back side of the Roof Headliner. This felt should be added on the driver & passenger side near the B-pillar garnish areas as shown in Figure 10.












C. Stick Felt (P/N 63346- 52020) on the back side of the roof headliner. This felt should be added on the driver & passenger side near the C-Pillar Garnish areas as shown in Figures 11, 12












6. Drill holes in the Ribs on the backside of the A-pillar Garnish in order to drain water condensation.

NOTE
- Areas for drill points 1, 4 have specific dimensional locations. Drill points 2, 3 can be made anywhere on the rib surface as shown in figure 14. Hole sizes are a minimum of 3mm diameter. Drill direction is indicated in figure 14.
- Be sure not to leave any burrs after drilling the holes.













7. Drill holes in the Ribs on the backside of the B-pillar Garnish in order to drain water condensation.

NOTE
- Drill holes into the back side ribs. Drill points 1 ~ 7 can be made anywhere on the rib surface as shown in figure 16. Hole sizes are a minimum of 3mm diameter. Drill direction is indicated in figure 15.
- Be sure not to leave any burrs after drilling the holes.













8. Drill holes in the Ribs on the backside of the C-pillar Garnish in order to drain water condensation.

NOTE
- Drill holes into the back side ribs. Drill points 1, 5 can be made anywhere on the rib surface as shown in figure 18. Hole sizes are a minimum of 3mm diameter. Drill direction is indicated in figure 17.
- Be sure not to leave any burrs after drilling the holes.


9. Install the headliner in the reverse order of removal.
