SUSPENSION: FRONT STABILIZER BAR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION





1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSH
(a) Install the stabilizer bar bush to the stabilizer bar.
HINT:
- Install the bush onto the stabilizer so that the bush stopper of the stabilizer bar faces the outside of the vehicle.
- Install the bush with its cutout facing the front of the vehicle.





2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR
(a) Install the stabilizer onto the crossmember with the paint mark on the left side of the vehicle.





3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET LH
(a) Provisionally tighten bolt A.
(b) Tighten the bolts to the specified torque, in the order of B then A.
Torque: 47 Nm (479 kgf-cm, 35 ft-lbf)
4. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET RH
HINT: The installation procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

5. INSTALL POWER STEERING GEAR Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation





7. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the stabilizer link with the 2 nuts.
HINT: If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a socket hexagon wrench 6 to hold the stud.

8. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: The installation procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

9. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM LH Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM RH
HINT: The installation procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

11. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation
12. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: The installation procedure for the RH side is the same as that for the LH side.

13. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
14. INSTALL STEERING SLIDING YOKE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
15. INSTALL COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET Installation
16. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
17. POSITION WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
18. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL

27. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

32. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
33. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
