INTRODUCTION:

Some 2007 - 2009 model year Yaris vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the engine compartment with engine speed above idle and the automatic transmission shift lever position in reverse. Follow the repair procedure below to address this concern.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Raise the vehicle and locate the No. 2 transmission control cable support to the left of the center exhaust pipe flange.
2. Using the plastic clamp, secure the automatic transmission control cable assembly to the No. 2 transmission control cable support. Refer to figure 1 for the location.







3. Confirm the repair.
