INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK IF A PROPER CD IS INSERTED

(a) Make sure that the CD is an audio CD or a CD with MP3 or WMA files, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred, or otherwise defective.

OK:

Normal CD

HINT
* Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.
* CDs with adhesive paper labels should not be played.
* Commercial audio CDs can be played.
* CD-DA files on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs can be played.
* MP3 and WMA files on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs can be played.
* For details on playable CDs, refer to the Owner's Manual.

NG -- CHANGE DISC
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE CD AND RECHECK

(a) Replace the CD and recheck.

(1) Replace the CD with a known good one.

(2) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(3) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

OK:

Malfunction disappears.

NG -- REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER Removal

OK -- END
