INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: ROOF HEADLINING: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF WIRE (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Install the No. 1 roof wire.

(b) Apply adhesive tape to the locations shown in the illustration.

HINT
* As shown in the illustration, line up and secure the reference tape of the wire harness to the tip of the roof headlining assembly.
3. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof) Installation

4. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof) Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Align the markings on the roof headlining assembly with the 3 No. 2 roof silencer pads and install the silencer pads using hot-melt glue or double-sided tape as shown in the illustration.

6. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Align the markings on the roof headlining assembly with the 3 No. 1 roof silencer pads and install the silencer pads using hot-melt glue or double-sided tape as shown in the illustration.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF SILENCER PAD (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Align the markings on the roof headlining assembly with the 2 No. 1 roof silencer pads and install the silencer pad using hot-melt glue or double-sided tape as shown in the illustration.

8. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof)

(a) Pull the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the back door.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

(b) Install the 2 clips.

(c) Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connectors to the rear pillar RH.

(d) Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector to the rear pillar RH with the bolt.

(e) Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar RH.

(f) Connect the No. 1 roof wire connectors to the instrument panel junction block.

(g) Engage each clamp to the front pillar LH.

NOTICE:
After installation, make sure that the back door weatherstrip does not interfere with the roof headlining assembly.

(h) w/ EC Mirror:

(1) Connect the inner mirror connector.

9. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Pull the roof headlining assembly into the vehicle through the back door.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the roof headlining assembly or body interior.

(b) Install the 2 clips.

(c) Connect the sliding roof drive gear connector.

(d) Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connectors to the rear pillar RH.

(e) Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector to the rear pillar RH with the bolt.

(f) Connect the antenna cord sub-assembly connector and engage each clamp to the front pillar RH.

(g) Connect the No. 1 roof wire connectors to the instrument panel junction block.

(h) Engage each clamp to the front pillar LH.

NOTICE:
After installation, make sure that the back door weatherstrip does not interfere with the roof headlining assembly.

(i) w/ EC Mirror:

(1) Connect the inner mirror connector.

10. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER

(a) Engage the 2 claws.

(b) Push in the visor holder as shown in the illustration.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

11. INSTALL REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY

(a) Assemble the rear assist grip assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the rear assist grip assembly.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

12. INSTALL FRONT ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

(a) Assemble the front assist grip sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the front assist grip sub-assembly.

13. INSTALL FRONT ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

(a) Assemble the front assist grip sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

(b) Install the front assist grip sub-assembly.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

14. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the 2 clips to the visor assembly LH.

(b) Engage the 2 clips and install the visor assembly LH.

15. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

16. INSTALL SUN ROOF OPENING TRIM MOULDING (w/ Sliding Roof)

(a) Align the recess of the sun roof opening trim moulding with the notch of the roof headlining and install the sun roof opening trim moulding.

NOTICE:
After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

17. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Installation

18. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY Installation

19. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Sliding Roof) Installation

20. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Sliding Roof) Installation

21. INSTALL INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR COVER (w/ EC Mirror) Installation

22. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH LH

(a) Engage the 7 clips and install the roof side inner garnish LH.

NOTICE:
After installation, make sure that the back door weatherstrip does not interfere with the roof side inner garnish LH.

23. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws, 3 clips and 2 guides, and install the quarter pillar garnish LH.

24. INSTALL SIDE DECK TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Engage the 5 claws and 3 clips, and install the side deck trim panel assembly LH.

NOTICE:
After installation, make sure that the back door weatherstrip does not interfere with the side deck trim panel assembly LH.

25. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER LH

(a) Engage the 4 claws and 2 guides, and install the rear combination light service cover LH.

26. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for LH Side)

(a) Engage the claw, and install the 2 No. 1 luggage compartment trim hooks.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

27. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) for front side:

(1) Install the luggage hold belt striker assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

(b) for rear side:

(1) Install the luggage hold belt striker assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

28. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

29. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH

(a) Engage the 4 claws and clip and guide, and install the rear seat side garnish LH.

30. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Install the rear seatback hinge sub-assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

31. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

32. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

33. INSTALL SIDE DECK TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Woofer)

(a) Engage the 5 claws and 3 clips, and install the side deck trim panel assembly RH.

NOTICE:
After installation, make sure that the back door weatherstrip does not interfere with the side deck trim panel assembly RH.

34. INSTALL SIDE DECK TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Woofer)

(a) Engage the 5 claws and 3 clips, and install the side deck trim panel assembly RH.

NOTICE:
After installation, make sure that the back door weatherstrip does not interfere with the side deck trim panel assembly RH.

35. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SERVICE COVER RH (w/ Woofer)

(a) Engage the 3 claws and 3 guides, and install the rear combination light service cover RH.

36. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

37. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

38. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE BELT ASSEMBLY RH Installation

39. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

(a) Engage the 4 claws and clip and guide, and install the rear seat side garnish RH.

40. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

41. INSTALL REAR DECK TRIM COVER

(a) Engage the 2 guides and 8 claws, and install the rear deck trim cover.

42. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY

(a) Install the luggage compartment tray.

(b) Install the 2 bolts.

43. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT TETHER ANCHOR Installation

44. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX RH

(a) Engage the 2 claws.

(b) Install the deck floor box RH with the bolt.

45. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws.

(b) Install the deck floor box LH with the bolt.

46. INSTALL JACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the jack assembly.

47. INSTALL JACK CARRIER ASSEMBLY

48. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK BOARD

(a) Engage the 2 guides and install the No. 2 deck board.

49. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides and install the deck board assembly.

(a) Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and install the lower center pillar garnish LH.

64. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

65. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for Driver Side) Installation

66. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Align the alignment mark (orange) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

NOTICE:
After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

67. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Engage the 6 claws and install the rear door scuff plate LH.

68. INSTALL UPPER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

69. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Installation

70. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

71. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER (for Front Passenger Side) Installation

72. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Align the alignment mark (pink) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

NOTICE:
After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

(a) Remove the protective cover.

(b) Install a new clip [A] on the front pillar garnish LH.

(c) Engage the 2 guides and 2 clips, then install the front pillar garnish LH.

85. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Align the alignment mark (purple) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.

NOTICE:
After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

86. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

(a) Engage the claw and clip, then install the cowl side trim board LH.

87. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Engage the 8 claws, then install the front door scuff plate LH.

88. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

89. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (w/ Curtain Shield Airbag)

(a) Remove the protective cover.

(b) Install a new clip [A] on the front pillar garnish RH.

(c) Engage the 2 guides and 2 clips, then install the front pillar garnish RH.

90. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Align the alignment mark (green) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.
