Removal

DOOR / HATCH: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER

(a) Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.





(b) Remove the 9 clips and 5 screws.





(c) Remove the 3 grommets and the front fender liner.

HINT
The grommets need to be replaced with new ones because they will break when they are removed.

3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and the hood lock assembly.





(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable.





4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.





5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps as shown in the illustration.









HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.
