HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RECEIVER

(a) Install the condenser assembly with receiver as shown in the illustration.





HINT
If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.

Capacity:

40 cc (1.35 fl.oz.)

Compressor oil:

ND-8 or equivalent

2. CONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring on the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

(d) Install the liquid pipe sub-assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.





Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

3. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring on the discharge hose sub-assembly.

(d) Install the discharge hose sub-assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.





Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

4. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

5. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2AZ-FE) Installation

6. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN SHROUD (for 2ZR-FE) Installation

7. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)

(a) Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.





Bolt (1) - Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf

Bolt (2) - Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf

(b) Connect the horn connector.





8. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

(a) Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.





Bolt (1) - Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf

Bolt (2) - Torque : 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf

(b) Connect the horn connector.





9. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2AZ-FE)

(a) Connect the water by-pass hose with the 2 clamps.





10. CONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for 2ZR-FE)

(a) Connect the water by-pass hose with the 3 clamps.





11. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2AZ-FE) Installation

12. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2ZR-FE) Installation

13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation

14. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

15. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Adjustments

16. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (except Sport Package) Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (for Sport Package) Installation

18. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR Installation

19. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2AZ-FE) Installation

20. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair

21. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair

22. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIMING (w/ Fog Light)
