Installation

INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) When using a new lower instrument panel sub-assembly:

(1) Before installing the lower instrument panel sub-assembly, immediately twist and cut off the portions shown in the illustration (joints for moulding).





(b) Engage the 2 claws.

NOTICE:
Do not allow the wire harness to get caught in the claws.

(c) Install the screw .

(d) Install the 11 bolts .

(e) Install the 2 bolts .

(f) Engage each clamp.

(g) Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 3 screws .

(h) Engage the 3 claws and install the hood lock control cable assembly.

(i) Engage the 2 claws and install the DLC3.

3. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER Installation

5. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER Installation

6. CONNECT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

7. CONNECT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

for U341F:

for U250E:

for U140E: Installation

8. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation

10. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover)

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Engage the 3 claws and install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

11. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Engage the 3 claws and 2 guides.

(c) Install the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly with the 2 screws .

14. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) Engage the 4 claws and install the No. 1 switch hole base.

15. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)

(a) Engage the 6 claws.

(b) Install the lower center instrument panel finish panel with the 2 clips.

16. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for Automatic Transaxle)

(a) Engage the 6 claws.

(b) Install the lower center instrument panel finish panel with the screw and 2 clips.

17. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Engage the 3 claws and guide to install the front No. 1 console box insert.

18. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Engage the 3 claws and guide to install the front No. 2 console box insert.

19. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) Installation

20. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) Installation

21. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET

22. INSTALL NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) Connect each connector.

(b) Engage the 6 claws and install the No. 2 switch hole base.

23. INSTALL FRONT UPPER CONSOLE BOX

(a) Engage the 8 claws and install the front upper console box.

24. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING PANEL ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL NAVIGATION ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation Antenna) Installation

26. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET Installation

27. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

28. CONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY Installation

29. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

30. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Installation

31. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) Installation

32. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Installation

33. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) Installation

34. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Installation

35. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY Installation

36. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation

37. CONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Installation

38. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH Installation
