U341E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

3. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using SST, remove the No. 1 transaxle case oil seal from the transaxle case.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using SST, remove the No. 2 transaxle case oil seal from the transaxle housing.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using SST and a hammer, install a new oil seal to the transaxle housing.

Standard depth:

-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the oil seal lip.

(b) Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

8. INSTALL NO. 2 TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using SST and a hammer, install a new oil seal to the transaxle case.

Standard depth:

2.2 to 3.2 mm (0.0866 to 0.126 in.)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the oil seal lip.

(b) Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.
