1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Removal
2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal
3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal
4. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Removal
5. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal
6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Removal
7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Removal
9. REMOVE HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the 2 washer hose clamps and washer hose.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts and hood sub-assembly.
10. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
11. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
12. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
13. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
14. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID Removal
15. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER Removal
16. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
17. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE Removal
18. REMOVE BATTERY Removal
19. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER Removal
20. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS Removal
21. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
(a) Disconnect the speed sensor connector and wire harness clamp.
(b) Remove the bolt and transmission control cable bracket.
(c) Disconnect the transmission wire connector, park/neutral position switch connector and 2 wire harness clamps.
22. DISCONNECT BREATHER HOSE
(a) Disconnect the breather hose.
23. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY Removal
24. SECURE STEERING WHEEL Removal
25. REMOVE COLUMN HOLE COVER SILENCER SHEET Removal
26. SEPARATE NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY Removal
27. DISCONNECT NO. 1 STEERING COLUMN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
28. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal
29. REMOVE FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT LH Removal
30. REMOVE FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT RH

Perform the same procedure as the LH side.
31. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH Removal
32. SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR RH

33. SEPARATE TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

45. INSTALL ENGINE HANGER Removal
46. SUSPEND ENGINE ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the sling device to the engine hangers and chain block.
47. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
48. REMOVE CENTER ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
49. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR Removal
50. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR Removal
51. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING UNDER COVER
(a) Remove the flywheel housing under cover.
52. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY SETTING BOLT
(a) Remove the 6 torque converter assembly setting bolts while holding the crankshaft pulley bolt with a wrench.
HINT
There will be one black colored bolt.
53. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER TUBE
(a) Remove the 2 hose clamps and bolt, and disconnect the oil cooler.
54. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the transmission oil level gauge sub-assembly.
(b) Remove the bolt and transmission oil filler tube sub-assembly.
(c) Remove the O-ring from the transmission oil filler tube sub-assembly.
55. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY Removal
56. SUPPORT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Support the automatic transaxle assembly with a transmission jack.
57. SEPARATE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH
(a) Remove the through bolt and nut, and separate the engine mounting insulator LH.
58. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 7 bolts and automatic transaxle from the engine.
59. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the engine mounting bracket LH from the automatic transaxle.
60. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and remove the front engine mounting bracket from the automatic transaxle.
61. REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET
(a) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the rear engine mounting bracket from the automatic transaxle.
62. REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE BRACKET
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 transmission control cable bracket from the automatic transaxle.
63. REMOVE SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and speedometer driven hole cover sub-assembly.
64. REMOVE TORQUE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the torque converter assembly from the automatic transaxle.
