Condition

Replacement accelerator pedal assembly does not fit over lower mounting stud.

^ Service replacement part -B- Part No:
6Q1 721 503D lower mounting point -arrow- (hole and ferrule) have been deleted which causes interference with existing fastening stud.

Note:
Illustration shows the reverse side of the old style -A- and new style -B- accelerator pedal assemblies (shown with pedals removed for illustration purposes only).

Service

Prior to installing new part, modify as follows:

For alignment purposes only,

Finish drilling the alignment hole using an 8 mm drill bit so that the pedal assembly will fit over both existing lower studs.

CAUTION!
Part numbers are for reference only.

Always check with your Parts Dept. for the latest parts information.

CAUTION!
DO NOT use this hole as the lower fastening point of the assembly!

Mount only at fastener holes with inserts





- Fasten pedal assembly using existing body studs at two upper mounting points and the single lower mounting point with insert -arrow-.

^ DO NOT install a fastener at the modified (drilled) hole.
