Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), table


NOTE:
- The DTC table is numbered using the 5 digit VAG DTC code on the left.
- For an explanation of malfunction types e.g. "open circuit/short circuit to Ground", Scan Tool operating instructions
- If components are indicated as being faulty: First check wiring and connectors to these components as well as system Ground connections using Wiring diagram. This particularly applies if malfunctions are displayed as occurring "sporadically" (SP).
- Before continuing with further checking; observe electrical checking instructions. Diesel Injection System Voltage Supply, Checking
- After correcting any malfunctions found, erase DTC memory and set Readiness code.
- MIL = Malfunction Indicator Lamp.
