Driveshaft, servicing
Sequence for removing and installing





- No repairs must be performed on the driveshaft
- If the driveshaft is disconnected from only the transmission or only the rear final drive, it must be tied up or supported.
- Remove and install the driveshaft only using 3298 or 3405 Driveshaft assembly appliance.
- Don't flex driveshaft; store and transport extended only.
- In the event of complaints (noise or vibration), check adjustment before replacing driveshaft.

3. Seal
- Replace
- Pull off protective foil
- Glue seal in flange shaft
4. Lock plate
5. Allen head bolt, 55 Nm
- Self locking
- Always replace
- Always clean threaded holes for bolts in flange shaft (e.g. with a thread tap)
6. Differential
- Determining thickness
7. Nut, 25 Nm
8. Stud, 10 Nm
- Removing and installing
9. Transmission

- Remove and install stud using two lock nuts -A-.
Installation position:
Stud short thread is screwed into vehicle (arrow).
- Tighten stud.
