Oil Pan Lower Section, Installing with Solid Gasket

Special Tools and Workshop Equipment Required
- Torque Wrench -V.A.G 1331-

Procedure

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

NOTE:
Always Replace Gaskets and Seals.

CAUTION!!
A new molded seal must be installed on engines that were originally equipped with one on the oil pan lower section.

- Clean the sealing surfaces before installing the oil pan lower section.

- Set lower part of oil pan in place and fasten all bolts in diagonal sequence to 5 Nm.

- Fasten bolts for lower part of oil pan in a diagonal sequence.

- Install stabilizer Refer to:

- Add engine oil and check oil level.
