Selector shaft seal, replacing
Special tools and equipment





- 80-200 Pry lever





- 3385 Thrust piece

Removing
- Remove multi-function TR switch -F125=.





- Remove selector lever cable from selector shaft Ever-arrow-.





- Drive spring pin -1- out of transmission selector lever-2- -arrow- until transmission selector lever can be removed from selector shaft.





- Lever seal out with a screwdriver.

Installing
- Apply ATF to circumference and sealing lips of seal.
Installation position:
Open side of seal faces transmission.





- Drive in new seal until thrust piece contacts stop. Ensure that seal remains straight when doing this.
- Push transmission selector lever onto selector shaft and knock in roll pin.
- Carefully press selector lever cable onto selector shaft lever using a pair of pliers. When doing this, take care not to bend selector shaft lever, otherwise selector mechanism will not be able to be adjusted correctly.
- Install multi-function TR switch.
