Charge Air System With Turbocharger, Servicing

Observe safety precautions.
Observe rules for cleanliness.

NOTE:
- Charge air system must be free of leaks.
- Replace self-locking nuts.
- Charge pressure hose and pipe connections must be free of oil and grease before reinstalling.
- Do not install hoses with lubricants, moisten with water only, if necessary.
- Observe installation markings on hoses and components.
- Hoses must be locked with clamps Electronic parts catalog"ETKA".







- To install spring-type clips spring type clip pliers VAS 5024 A or hose clamp pliers V.A.G 1921 are recommended.
- Fill turbocharger with engine oil through oil connection before connecting the oil supply pipe
- Allow engine to run for approx. 1 minute at idling speed after installing the turbocharger to ensure the oil supply is guaranteed. Do not rev the engine immediately.
