Front Backrest Cover and Upholstery

• Due to equipment variations, small deviations must be considered during removal and installation.

Removal





- Remove seat.

- Remove the headrest.

- Remove backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest Assembly Overview ] Front Seats Overview.

- Use a screwdriver to separate beading strip - 1 - of cover - 2 - - arrows -.

- Unhook tension wire - 1 - - arrows -.





Backrest (leather version)

- Pry off operating mechanism - 1 - of backrest release and securing clip - 2 -, unclip upper trim - 3 - and remove upward.





• Always replace securing clip - 2 -.

Backrest (cloth version)

- Pry off operating mechanism - 1 - of backrest release, securing clip - 2 - and trim - 3 -.





• Always replace securing clip - 2 -.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Press down backrest cushion below guide - 2 - and disengage retaining tab using screwdriver or drift - 1 -.





- Remove headrest guide - 2 -.

- Remove cover upward to cushion wire - 1 -.





- Disengage cushion wire - 1 - on backrest frame.

- Unhook cover tab on backrest frame - arrows -.

• Note or mark installation position of hooks on backrest frame.

- Remove cover further upward to cushion wire - 1 - on front of backrest.





- Disengage cushion wire - 1 - on cushion.

- Cut through upholstery clip - 2 - and remove cover from cushion.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
