Seals and Retaining Strip on Glass Panel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Roller (3356)

• Adhesive remover (VAS 6349)

Removing

- Removing the glass panel for the panorama sunroof. Refer to => [ Sunroof Glass Panel ] Sunroof Glass Panel

- Remove the damaged seal or the damaged retaining strip.

- Remove any remaining adhesive with adhesive remover (VAS 6349).

Installation

- Make sure there is no dust or grease on the adhesive surface.

- Clean the adhesive surfaces thoroughly with cleaning solution (D 009 401 04).

- Apply the glass/paint primer (D009 200 02) uniformly in one stroke using the applicator (D 009 500 25).

- Note the drying time.

- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape in sections and press the seal or retaining strip on.

- Press the seal on evenly to prevent any excess length.

- Press in the seal or the retaining strip evenly in the surrounding area 2x with the roller (3356).

- Installing the glass panel for the panorama sunroof. Refer to => [ Sunroof Glass Panel ] Sunroof Glass Panel
