- Ignition off
- Disconnect battery negative lead.
- Remove special tool 998 8695.

Connect an ohmmeter between seat belt tensioner #1 and ground, measure for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals - Permanent faults.

Remedy as necessary.

After performing this procedure Verification
