Checking the cable and the switch
Check the cable between the central electronic module (CEM) terminal #16D and the hazard warning signal flasher switch terminal #3 (3/6). Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the function of the switch.
When the switch is depressed, the voltage should be 0 V, otherwise 12 V at terminal #3 on the hazard warning signal flasher switch (3/6).
If the switch does not work, replace the switch.
Remedy as necessary.
