Rear Door Hinge: Service and Repair

Preparatory work

Removing the B-post panel
Remove the B-post panel. B-Pillar Trim Panel

Removal

Removing hinges





Remove:
- the 2 screws (1)
- the screw (2) for the door stop.
Unhook the door from the hinges.
Remove the connector (3) from the B-post.




Remove the 4 screws for the hinge halves in the door frame.




Remove the 4 screws for the hinge halves in the B-post. Carry out the procedure from inside the vehicle, through the holes in the B-post.

Hint: Use a magnetic insert in the screw socket to prevent the screws falling down inside the B-post.

Installation

Installing hinges
Install the hinge halves on the B-post and the door frame using the 8 M8 screws.

Hint: Use a magnetic insert in the screw socket to prevent the screws falling down inside the B-post.

Hang the door on the hinges.

Install:
- the connector on the B-post
- the 2 M8 screws to lock the hinge halves
- the 1 screw for the door stop
- the B-post panel. B-Pillar Trim Panel
