Luggage Compartment Lid Badges

Removal

Removing the badge
Heat the badge carefully. Use a hot-air gun.
Carefully lift up one edge of the badge.

Note! Do not damage the vehicle's paintwork.

Remove:
- the badge
- any tape residue.

Installation

Installing the badge
Ensure that the vehicle is at least at room temperature (above +20 °C).
Wash the area for the badge. Use a mixture of 50% isopropanol and 50% water.
Wipe dry using a clean lint-free cloth.

Caution! In order for the emblem to stick, the surface must be clean and free of dust and grease.

Remove the backing from the tape.

Note! Leave the fixing foil in place.

Guide the badge into the position indicated in the dimensions.
Press the whole badge to ensure the tape is in good contact with the base.
Use the following measurements:





Volvo badge
M1 = 79.5 ± 1 mm
M2 = 15 ± 1 mm
Y0 = center of the hatch

Hint: Measure Y0 using the license plate.









Model designation
M3 = 150 ± 1 mm
M4 = 26 ± 2 mm





Note! The relative parallel (M7) of the emblems must be within tolerances.

Engine designation
M3 = 150 ± 1 mm
M5 = 116.5±1
M6 = 26±2 mm
M7 = 0±1 mm
Check that the edges of the badge are against the base. There must be no gaps.

Note! To ensure optimal adhesion, do not wash the car for 72 hours. It gradually increases.
