Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

Replacing the fuel filler pipe (When replacing the fuel tank)

Preparations
Remove the right rear fender liner. See Rear fender liner .

Removing the fuel filler pipe





Remove:
- the fuel tank filler cap
- the tensioner ring around the rubber boot
- the rubber boot.




Remove the ground lead.




Disconnect the hose from the shut-off valve.




Remove the filler pipe.

Installing the fuel filler pipe




Transfer components to the new pipe. Assemble and clamp as illustrated.

Note! Always use new hose clamps.

Install:
- the fuel filler pipe
- the shut-off valve hose
- the ground lead for the wheel arch. Tighten to 10 Nm
- the rubber boot around the fuel filler pipe
- tensioner ring
- the fender liner. See Rear fender liner .
