Check the auxiliaries belt and belt tensioner for damage.
Check the function of the alternator freewheel. A fault-free freewheel pulls around the alternator rotor shaft in one direction but not the other.

HINT: If the diagnostic trouble code recurs after operation, try a new alternator.
