Note!
- These installation instructions apply to left-hand drive vehicles. When installing in a right-hand drive vehicle, the procedure is carried out on the opposite side and/or mirrored. Where the operations differ, right-hand versions are also displayed with text and images.
- There may be components in the accessories kit that are not used for this installation.
- When installing Velcro fasteners/tape the underlying surface must be kept at a temperature of at least +20° C (68°F).
- Place the manual for this accessory in a suitable place in the vehicle.

Note! The installation kit may contain two types of cable harness. A single cable harness (A in kit image), or a dual cable harness (B and C in the kit image).

Preparations

- Position the front seats in their rear most position.
- Turn the ignition key to position 0.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.

- Remove the panel around the display and media player. Use a small screwdriver and press in the catch in one of the panel's upper corners. Carefully bend loose the radio panel on the same side with a plastic pry tool.
- Carry out the same procedure on the other side. Then fold the radio panel backward in the vehicle.
- Pull up the radio panel until it detaches.

Hint: If there is difficulty removing the panel, press the panel back into place on both sides and start the removal procedure again. Start from the opposite side to before.

- Remove the gear lever panel by carefully prizing it away starting at the rear edge and then continuing forward. It is fitted with six catches underneath.

Applies to cars with manual gearbox
- Remove the gear lever panel from the gaiter by first pressing in the four catches at the sides, and then pull the panel up.

- Remove the covers and screws in the rear edge of the upper panel section of the center console, remove the screws on the rear of the panel and then remove the remaining screws on the top, ten in total.

- Remove the edge clip with cable from the lower section of the center console.

- Carefully angle up the upper section of the center console at the front edge so that the edge clip for the large cable harness on the left-hand side of the center console is accessible.
- Detach the clip with cable harness from its holder.

Note! Do not damage the fibre optic cables and other cables.

- Tilt the upper section of the center console a little more to access the four connectors at the rear of the climate unit.
- Unplug the connectors. The connector (1) has a catch on the rear in toward the upper section.

- Remove the panel by moving it backward at the front edge and then lifting it out from the rear edge of the tunnel console.

- Remove the two screws from the media player.

- Pull out the media player completely and remove the connectors.

- Remove the tunnel console's left and right-hand side panels by carefully pulling them away starting at the rear edge. These are secured with six clips on the inside.

Installing the keypad

- Clean the area on the dashboard as illustrated, which corresponds to the size of the double-sided adhesive tape. Use a solution of 25% isopropanol and 75% water, as well as a lint free cloth.
Dry with care, do not rub.
- Allow to dry.

Note! In cases where the area is heavily soiled or treated with cockpit shine. First clean using a washing up detergent (FAIRY or similar).

- Position the keypad cable in the groove as illustrated.

- Remove the protective film on the keypad and press securely.

- Carefully press the cable harness in between the panels using a pry tool.
Angle/pull out the upper section of the center console to create a larger gap between the dashboard and tunnel console, and to make it easier to press the cable completely inside the tunnel console's side wall (1).

Note! Make sure the cable harness runs free of the panel's guides.

- Secure the keypad's cable harness using a tie strap to the existing cable harness.

- Detach the rubber moulding at the upper A-pillar panel and the corner of the roof panel.

- Remove the cover and bolt of the A-pillar panel.

- Carefully remove the A-pillar panel by starting at the upper edge and pulling it inwards into the car until the three clips on the inside release.
