Rear Seat-back Release Lever Replacement

NOTE:

- Take care not to bend or scratch the interior trim.

- The left seat-back release lever is shown; the right seat-back release lever is similar.

- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

1. From the trunk compartment, remove the clips, and release the hook (A), then remove the seat-back release lever (B).
NOTE: Release the clips by prying up on the center pin at the notch (C).






2. Disconnect the rear seat-back release cable (A). Take care not to kink the cable.

3. Install the release lever in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

- Push the clips and the hook into place securely.

- Make sure the rear seat-back release cable is connected securely.

- Make sure the seat-back locks securely and unlocks properly.
