Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution (SIR Caution) .
1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) .
2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) .




3. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt to the floor pan fastener.
4. Remove the rear trim shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .




6. Remove the seat belt retractor fastener (2).
7. Remove the seat belt retractor (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear shoulder belt retractor (1). Engage the tab on the retractor (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the seat belt retractor fastener (2).

Tighten the rear seat retractor fastener to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).





3. Route the shoulder belt through the sail panel and verify that it is not twisted.
4. Install the shoulder belt fastener.

Tighten the shoulder bolt fastener to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

5. Install the sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the rear trim shelf panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement (Rear Seat Back Replacement) .
8. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) .
