Rear Energy Absorber Replacement


Removal Procedure

1.Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .





2.For the sedan, remove the screw retainers from the energy absorber.





3.For the extended sedan, release the energy absorbers from the rear bumper fascia by pushing outward on the retaining tabs.





4.Remove the energy absorber from the rear bumper fascia.

Installation Procedure





1.Position the energy absorber to the rear bumper fascia.





2.For the sedan, install the screw retainers to the energy absorber. Hand tighten the retainers.





3.For the extended sedan, install the energy absorbers onto the rear bumper fascia retaining tabs. Push down until the energy absorber is fully seated.

4.Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
