Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement (Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement) .
2. Remove the side shield fasteners.




3. Remove the power seat switch adjuster button, if equipped.




4. Remove the side shield from the seat assembly by pushing rearward and pulling the rear of the shield straight out.
5. Remove the power seat switch, if equipped. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the heated seat switch, if equipped. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement (Service and Repair) .




7. Remove the front seat mount fasteners and tilt the seat forward.




8. Remove the seat belt anchor from the seat frame.



Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

1. Install the seat belt anchor to the seat frame.

Tighten the anchor to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).





2. Install the front seat mounting fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).


Important: Route the heat switch wire harness through the V-retainers in the trim panel.


3. Install the heated seat switch. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement (Service and Repair) .




5. Install the side shield to the seat assembly.




6. Install the power seat switch adjuster button.
7. Install the side shield fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

8. Install the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement (Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement) .
