This diagnostic procedure applies to engine coolant temperature serial data gage located in the instrument panel cluster (IPC)

Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, with the scan tool, perform the IPC Gage Sweep Test in the IPC Output Controls. Verify that the coolant temperature gage dial moves from the minimum gage marker to the maximum marker and back to the gage minimum marker.

If the gages do not perform the IPC Gage Sweep Test, replace the IPC.



Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
