Differential Oil Pump Inlet Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Lower and support the rear of the exhaust system.

3. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.

4. Remove the differential cooler pump inlet pipe retaining bolt.

5. Disconnect the differential cooler pump inlet pipe from the differential. Refer to Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting.

6. Disconnect the differential cooler pump inlet pipe from the differential cooler pump. Refer to Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting.

7. Remove the differential cooler inlet pipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the differential cooler inlet pipe to the vehicle.

2. Connect the differential cooler pump inlet pipe to the differential cooler pump. Refer to Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting.

3. Connect the differential cooler pump inlet pipe to the differential. Refer to Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting Differential Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick Connect Fitting.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the differential cooler pump inlet pipe retaining bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

5. Fill the differential fluid. Refer to Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection Procedures.

6. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.

7. Raise and secure the rear of the exhaust system.

8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
