Hydraulic Valve Lash Adjuster Arm Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the intake camshaft. Refer to Intake Camshaft Replacement Intake Camshaft Replacement.
2. Remove the exhaust camshaft. Refer to Exhaust Camshaft Replacement Exhaust Camshaft Replacement.





Note: Mind the installation position of the hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms.

3. Remove the 16 hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms (1).

Installation Procedure





Note: Hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms should be installed in their original position

1. Lubricate the hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms with engine oil.
2. Install the 16 hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms (1).
3. Install the exhaust camshaft. Refer to Exhaust Camshaft Replacement Exhaust Camshaft Replacement.
4. Install the intake camshaft. Refer to Intake Camshaft Replacement Intake Camshaft Replacement.
