Valve Lifter Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the applicable camshafts. Refer to Camshaft Replacement - Left Side Camshaft Replacement - Left Side.

2. Remove the rocker arms. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Replacement - Left Side Valve Rocker Arm Replacement - Left Side.

3. Remove the lifters. Refer to Valve Lifter Removal - Left Side 38. Valve Lifter Removal - Left Side

4. Clean and inspect the camshafts, rocker arms and lifters. Repair or replace as necessary. Refer to Camshaft Cleaning and Inspection 63. Camshaft Cleaning and Inspection and Valve Lifter Cleaning and Inspection 64. Valve Lifters and Guides Cleaning and Inspection.

5. Clean and inspect the rocker arm. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cleaning and Inspection 65. Valve Rocker Arm Cleaning and Inspection

Installation Procedure





1. Install the lifters.

2. Install the rocker arms. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Replacement - Left Side Valve Rocker Arm Replacement - Left Side.

3. Install the camshafts. Refer to Camshaft Replacement - Left Side Camshaft Replacement - Left Side.
