Engine Front Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture Engine Support Fixture.

2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.





3. Remove the upper engine mount fastener (1).





4. Remove the engine strut fastener (3).

5. Raise and support the vehicle

6. Remove the radiator air lower baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement.





7. Remove the air conditioning line (2) to air conditioning compressor fastener (1).

8. Position air conditioning line out of the way.





9. Remove the front engine mount to sub frame fastener (1).

10. Remove the rear engine mount to frame fasteners (3).

11. Loosen the transmission mount fasteners (2).

12. Lower the vehicle.

13. Using the engine support fixture, carefully raise the engine enough to clear the upper front engine mount bracket.





14. Remove the front engine mount (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the front engine mount (1).

2. Using the engine support fixture, carefully lower the engine onto the front mount and ensure the rear engine mount aligns with the sub frame holes.

3. Raise the vehicle.





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

4. Install the front engine mount to sub frame fastener (1) and tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb ft).

5. Install the rear engine mount to frame fasteners (3) and tighten to 52 Nm (38 lb ft).

6. Tighten the transmission mount fasteners (2) to 52 Nm (38 lb ft).





7. Position the air conditioning line (2) to air conditioning compressor and install the fastener (1).

8. Tighten the air conditioning line fastener to 17 Nm (12.5 lb ft).

9. Install the radiator air lower baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement.

10. Lower the vehicle.





11. Install the engine strut fastener (3) and tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb ft).





12. Install the upper engine mount fastener (1) and tighten to 100 Nm (85 lb ft).

13. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
