Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement




Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement (LS3, LS7)

Special Tools

* J 25033-C - Pulley Installer

* J 25034-C - Pulley Remover

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools Tools and Equipment.

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (LS9) Drive Belt Replacement - AccessoryDrive Belt Replacement - Accessory (w/o LS9) Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.

2. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement.

3. Remove the BPMV bracket. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement.




4. Use the J 25034-C - remover to remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure




1. Use the J 25033-C - installer to install the power steering pump pulley.





Note: The power steering pump pulley must be installed onto the power steering pump shaft so that the hub of the pulley is flush to within 0.25 mm (0.010 in) with the end of the pump shaft.

2. Check the position of the power steering pump pulley on the power steering pump.

3. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (LS9) Drive Belt Replacement - AccessoryDrive Belt Replacement - Accessory (w/o LS9) Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.

4. Install the BPMV bracket. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement.

5. Install the BPMV. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement.
