Engine Rear Mount Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture Engine Support Fixture.




2. Remove the engine strut fastener (3).

3. Raise and support the vehicle.

4. Remove the right side engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement (Right) Engine Splash Shield Replacement (Left) .

5. Remove the radiator air lower deflector and baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement.




6. Remove the front engine mount to sub frame fastener (1).

7. Remove the rear engine mount to frame fasteners (3).

8. Loosen the transmission mount fasteners (2).




9. Remove the rear engine mount upper fastener (1).

10. Lower the vehicle.

11. Using the engine support fixture, carefully raise the engine enough to clear the upper rear engine mount bracket.




12. With a suitable pry tool, pry the rear engine mount away from the rear engine mount bracket.

13. Remove the rear engine mount (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear engine mount (1).

2. Loosely install upper rear engine mount fastener to hold the engine mount to the engine bracket.

3. Using the engine support fixture, carefully lower the engine onto the rear mount and ensure the front engine mount aligns with the sub frame hole.

4. Raise the vehicle.

5. Adjust the rear engine mount with a suitable pry tool if necessary.

6. Lower the vehicle.

7. Lower the engine using the engine support fixture to allow the rear engine mount to fully seat onto the frame.

8. Raise vehicle.

9. Adjust the front engine mount, rear engine mount and transmission mount into proper position.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

10. Install the front engine mount to sub frame fastener (1) and tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb ft).

11. Install the rear engine mount to frame fasteners (3) and tighten to 52 Nm (38 lb ft).

12. Tighten the transmission mount fasteners (2) to 52 Nm (38 lb ft).




13. Install the upper rear engine mount fastener (1) and tighten to 100 Nm (74 lb ft).

14. Install the radiator air lower deflector and baffle. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement.

15. Install the right side engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement (Right) Engine Splash Shield Replacement (Left) .

16. Lower the vehicle.




17. Install the engine strut fastener (3) and tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb ft).

18. Remove the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture Engine Support Fixture.
