Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Removal

5.7L ENGINE with ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING - REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air intake tube between intake manifold and air filter assembly.
3. Using a suitable square drive tool, release the belt tension by rotating the tensioner (8) clockwise. Rotate belt tensioner (8) until belt (2) can be removed from pulleys.
4. Remove belt (2).
5. Gently release tensioner (8).
