9 Shock or Time Lag When Shifting From N to D and From N to R

PROBLEM
Excessive shock or time lag at time of both shifts from N to D and from N to R

DESCRIPTION
When the selector lever position is changed for a shift from N to D and also from N to R with the engine at idle, excessive shock or time lag of 2 secs. or more occurs. In this case, an abnormal reducing pressure, or a defective oil pump, etc. are suspected.

PROBABLE CAUSE OF TROUBLE
- Abnormal reducing pressure
- Defective oil pump
- Defective valve body
