PINPOINT TEST E: THE HEADLAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Test E1:

Test E2-E8:

Normal Operation
The instrument cluster monitors the headlamp switch position. When the headlamp switch is in the headlamps ON position, the instrument cluster sends a signal to the front electronic module (FEM) and the rear electronic module (REM) to illuminate the exterior lamps. If a problem is detected with the circuits to the headlamp switch, the instrument cluster defaults the headlamps and parking lamps ON. The FEM controls the ground circuit for each headlamp bulb.

Possible Causes
- circuit 31S-LE15 (BK/GN) (LH high beam) short to ground
- circuit 31S-LE16 (BK/RD) (LH low beam) short to ground
- circuit 31S-LE22 (BK/RD) (RH high beam) short to ground
- circuit 31S-LE23 (BK/WH) (RH low beam) short to ground
- FEM
- multifunction switch
